Hopi Ear Candles

Also known as Thermal Auricular Therapy, Ear Candling or Hopi Ear Candles are a gentle non invasive treatment used to treat a number of conditions of the Ears, Nose and Throat. Used by the the native American Hopi Indians, (Hopi means peaceful people), the practice of using ear candles soon spread and begun to increase in popularity.

The Hopi Ear Candles are made from cotton, beeswax & honey. As the candle burns down, the heat creates a vacuum which draws up any impurities to the surface for elimination. The client may hear some gentle crackling and hissing sounds which is normal. The treatment itself is highly relaxing.

The treatment is carried out after an initial consultation to ensure suitability and includes a gentle head or face massage. Results may vary from client to client and a series of treatments are recommended spaced across a number of weeks as and when required.

Hopi Ear Candle Treatments may help with: Compacted ear wax in the ears

Sinus congestion and irritation, Glue ear, tinnitus, colds, and flu.

To help restore pressure in the ears (i.e. for those who frequent fly, swim or scuba dive).

Hopi Ear Candles are not recommended for use if you have any inflammation in the ear or ear infections, grommets, perforated ear drums, or allergies to any of the ingredients in the candle. If you have recently undergone a major operation or have a heavy cough or cold then you should delay the treatment. If in any doubt, then please consult your G.P.
